Sorry to intrude-this has probably been beaten to death, but I'm new to this group and have been searching the threads but can't find what I'm after.

We purchased in 2 BR Vistana Fountains unit when our kids were making their first visit to WDW in Orlando about 17 years ago. Yes-we bought from the developer--GRRRRR

Anyhow we usually deposit our annual week with RCI and have done mainly exchanges (often back to our home resort) and have been happy with everything but now we no longer really want to keep paying ever increasing maintenance fees and when RCI membership is added in plus exchange fees, our once good deal seems to be a monster that is in need of control. With the Special Assessment that was put in place recently-2nd part of it due soon, I started investigating selling my unit and it didn't take long to discover thats not easily accomplished. I've even thought of just donating it just to get out from under.

Well, today I got "the email" about how I would now be eligible to join the SVN, but beyond that the email didn't give a lot of info. The wife & I still travel a few times a year so internally exchanging to other resorts within the Starwood family might at least allow us more options (and with it just us now, we never need 2BR). Is there a thread somewhere that I'm missing that would give more detail about just what the SVN is & how it works.

thanks
-Monte

Welcome! :hi: - Did you see the Starwood FAQ at the top of the page?

The FAQ is the best place to start and down at the bottom of the FAQ is a link to a more in-depth article about Starwood.

Check it out and then come back and let us know what questions you have.
