Hi everyone. I have an Easter 2012 reservation and I was wondering if anyone knows what the following view code means:

2 bedroom view code is TOGA.

I have no idea what that means so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

This old thread with a few pics confirms that TOGA is a gardenview unit at SurfWatch.

But, SW uses a priority placement system that means you may not be placed into the type of unit that's attached to an II confirmation. Most often that means that oceanvista/oceanside exchangers will be placed instead into gardenview, but depending on how busy the resort is and/or how many Marriott Weeks/Points you own, it could mean that you'll be upgraded from a gardenview into an oceanside/oceanvista.

A week or so before your trip you'll get an email from the resort and can make any special requests through that. Good luck! (FWIW, we don't own gardenview but I would happily stay there anytime - the entire resort is beautifully designed within its natural setting and the staff has made a number of additions - bird feeders, bird houses, rocking chairs, hammocks, etc. - to accentuate the habitat and open space.)

Hi Susan. Thanks for the response. Great link and way more information than I ever hoped for. Can't wait to go to Surfwatch. I really like being in Hilton Head for Easter. It isn't the same as Florida but it is a much easier drive to HH than FL from Cleveland and the weather is usually (but not always) a lot nicer in HH than Cleveland in early April.

I didn't expect we would get an ocean view but the view is probably a lot like the view we get from Disney's Hilton Head resort. The best you could hope for there was a marsh view, so I am sure the view will be great.

I'm looking forward to biking a lot when I am there. Do you recomend getting bikes from the resort for the week or using an off-site provider. The disney resort rented bikes but they would always sell-out for Easter week and then we would have to use an off-site provder, which I didn't mind using at all becuase they dropped the bikes off at your unit and picked them up at your unit. Just wasn't sure who had/has the better rates.

Any good places beside Barony you can recomend to bike to. I like being able to bike to grocery stores and things like that.

I would rent the bikes from Surfwatch. Call ahead to see if they have them--they had plenty July 4th wk. We ride into Palmetto Dunes--we go in the main
entrance and just bike through the neighborhoods--it's really nice to see the beautiful homes.
