I know a lot has been posted about the desirability of buying and selling thru Stroman. The general consensus is negative to selling and somewhat positive to buying.

I recently had the need (for my Son) of a specific ski week at a specific resort in Colorado. I called Stroman; they had the Week; I made an offer; it was accepted; they made arrangements with the Seller for my Son to use the Week prior to closing; notified the Resort (which I confirmend); told me I could use any closing company I wanted (with a $50 transmittal fee to Rice, Rice and Rice). I chose to use Rice, Rice and Rice. Closing went smooth and my Son (for whom I purchased the Week) now has his Deed in hand.

Entire transaction went smooth as any I have ever done.

Just in case you are interested it was a two bedroom Week 9 at Orofino at Straight Creek in Dillon, CO. Price was $1,000 (more than I pay for my own Weeks!!) and MF is less than $400. Pretty good, IMHO, to get an ex-Maarine started in Timesharing.

Not referring to anyone here, as it is just a country saying, but as my golfing and timesharing buddy says when he makes a long putt, "Even a blind pig finds an acorn every now and then." :D

Even Stroman could not stay in business if they did not get some of them right.

Anyone interested in past comments about Stroman can email me.
