I have the STI mobile phone that many of us ordered with rebate last fall.

I don't use it much and now I am either getting a message of a phone with a line thru it or an R in in a box or a digital roam message. I am sure I was not getting the digital roam message in my home before, but I am getting it now. Anyhow, I have been unable to make a call, I have been unable to retrieve voice mail (I can't figure out how either). I am due to make a call to keep the phone active and I am getting concerned.
I purchased more minutes because I got a message that they were now charging 10 cents a day for the phone, so I have a lot of time available on the phone.

I have two of those phones, received the rebate and when my minutes are done I am going to donate them to one of those places where they convert the phones for use by battered women.

I think .20 per day ($6 per month) in my case to have phones that we hardly use is too much. Also since I moved to SC unless I am in my car I get the roaming message all the time so I can't use the phone from home. Lately when I tried to use it I got this voice message saying I had to set up my voice mail again...no explanation. Anyway, we bought a tracphone and use that and there is no daily charge. Good luck with yours.
