We checked in on Wed. evening using Club Wyndham pts. We are not owners here. We requested an ADA room with a roll in shower and were accommodated with a 1br room in BLDG 26. It has a great ocean view, overlooking holes 13 and 14 of the Kona Country Club. Could not have asked for a better room. Happy campers.

I like Kona Coast, enjoy your time there.

I see very little posted about this resort.
As an II only exchanger this seems to be the only resort I see available on the Big Island for II ( today I did see Paniolo Greens but not on the water)

What can you tell me about this resort and location?
Seems only phase 2 has optional AC for a daily charge.

We stayed here, but it was years ago. I got in through an RCI weeks trade. The units were nice, the resort is set up on a bluff so there is no direct beach access. You need to drive anywhere you want to go. The location, for me, was too far out of town. There was a daily charge for a/c but we didn't need it at the time, and this was during the summer. I don't think any more that I would want to stay in a unit that doesn't have a/c.

I was going to see if I'd written a review on Kona Coast but I don't know if I can search by reviews I've written.

What exactly do you want to know? The location can be found with google maps. It's very close to the Keauhou shopping center and not too far north of a couple small beaches. Yes, A/C is optional for a daily fee. We did fine w/o it in January.

This resort is so close to me, you could pull up my weather station for current/historical conditions. I wouldn't take an AC unit if they were being given away. What's the point? I need sweats at night to sleep year-round. The temperature drops into the 60s right after sunset. And they're right on the water so the drop will be even faster than my location. (I'm about two thousand feet from the water.)

This was the first resort we visited in Hawaii. We like the area so much, we moved a few miles away.
