If you visit Vegas or want to visit Atlantis Bahamas, we have been using elite status matches to get some free goodies. We just matched our Gold MGM MLife matched from Hyatt Elite, to Caesars Diamond which matches to Wyndham. i.e.

Hyatt Explorist <-> MGM Mlife Gold -> Caesars Diamond <-> Wyndham Diamond

Caesars Diamond is quite valuable:

4 free nights at Atlantis Bahamas, $100 annual free dinner (e.g. Bacchanal Buffet, Ruth Chris Steakhouse), and 2 free shows A MONTH (e.g. Penn and Teller etc.).

Caesars Diamond - Atlantis Bahamas
  • Complimentary four night stay in the Beach Towers including hotel room taxes (off peak gets four night at in The Royal)
  • Up to 2 additional nights at a Special Casino Rate of $65 per night plus taxes & fees ($116 during off peak)
  • $100 free slot play
  • Access to Aquaventure, a one-of-a-kind 141-acre waterscape with 20 swimming areas and 11 pools
Both my DH and I have Hyatt Elite/MLife/Caesars Diamond so we will get $200 in free food and 4 free tix to shows in Vegas which makes for a nice weekend getaway.

The status match for Caesars will last only until Jan of the next year but blogs say you can status match back. Plus to match you must personally visit Caesars in Vegas or AC. You cannot use benefits other than free parking and priority lines within the first 7 days of the match so you will need to plan a return trip. (It was great to skip the 2 hour lines at the Sat night buffet though.) If you have elite in Hyatt, Mlife or Wyndham you can get this.

The best part of free show tix and stays? No Presentation required! No Credit Card Sign ups!

Earlier this week I went to Caesars Rewards desk to match to Diamond from MLife Gold which is matched from my Celebrity (Elite) status.

It is not clear to me how to get information on the free show beforehand so as we can plan. The girl at the counter told us about the free shows but we are still confused. Can you please elaborate?

BTW, we were told that matching will skip a year which we sort of regretted doing for both of us as we could have staggered the years between the 2 of us.

They publish the show list on the first of each month. Here is April 2019:

There are a few comments at the bottom of the post which are helpful.

Hadn't heard about the skipping years. We both matched. Of course they could always devalue benefits if you hold off. Also you only get one show ticket and one $100 benefit. So would have to pay the balance. This gives us two tickets so totally free. Will see what happens.

Just priced out airfare to Nassau. Expensive from the West Coast. OTOH SWA flies there so perhaps if use positioning flights to Florida or ATL. DH running out of vacation time, so may not be able to use this year. If not, Vegas is easy flight from the SF Bay Area and rooms are cheap so this makes for a fun weekend getaway in the same time zone.

Thanks. For us, each card gets 2 tickets and since it's just 2 of us, just having one Diamond card is sufficient per year. We like the free parking perks and it means that we won't get free parking in 2020 when matching lapses. In 2021, one of us will do the matching while the other will do it in 2022.

So they allow you to use your 2 tickets/month on the same show and for a guest? I did not know that! If so, skipping years would make sense. We do that on credit card apps toward SWA companion passes.

We get $200 toward annual free food instead of $100 this year though.

If we must skip, parking is not a big deal because we can park free with MGM Mlife gold across the street or with timeshare stay.

That's what the girl said, each card gets 2 tickets and they can be for the same show or split into 2 shows. We should be able to pick up the $100 voucher each next week and we plan to treat our friends, a couple, to brunch at Bachhanal.

I read somewhere that the Atlantis deal does not apply to matched status but I do not know for sure.
