Well, the FAQ goes on & on and so I didn't want to cut & paste the whole thing here. Below is the contact info. from the FAQ, so you can check directly with Starwood. Basically with the Starwood rental program:
1) if you own a LO, you can rent out the whole unit, or one of the halves.
2) you may only rent out whole weeks.
3) you may only rent out a week from your home resort.
4) you must reserve your rental week during the Home Resort Preference period (i.e. 12-8 mos. in advance).
5) Starwood takes 50% of the rental proceeds.
6) there are no guarantees that Starwood will be able to rent any or all of your week.

A: Yes. Starwood Vacation Ownership offers a voluntary Rental Program for Owners who wish to rent their week of interval ownership.
