I own a resale at SBP, Myrtle Beach. 2 bdrm sls 8 wks 9-47. It's not a lock-off. Last year I deposited it with SFX, but decided to give II a try this year.
In my II account, it lists my unit twice in my membership, as both STW and ST2.
I did a request first in February and got an exchange in Feb. 2013 for my 2012 STW week. That no longer shows.
My Units shows ST2 as available for 2012 exchange. Is it really available for exchange, as in a 2 for 1 or xyz I've read about here? I've looked all over online and in II and find no clear answer.
Can anyone explain? Thanks for your help.

I'm going to move this to the starwood board were the people there will likely be able to help you.

ST2 is just the generic placeholder code for SBP. It will always show in your account, but if ou try and exchange with it it would get rejected since you don't have a week available.

XYZ is a different thing altogether, and here will be nothing showing in your account about that. You wold need to call in to do an XYZ exchange.

I am considering the future purchase of a Starwood Property. Before doing so I'd like to check some availablity and the resorts but doing an exchange or a getaway through II. I did find the following link http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60852 however it is from 2008 and not sure how up to date it is.

There is a link to a list of codes for popular resorts, at the top of the Sightings Forum.
