No, 1 StarOption (SO) does not equal 1 StarPoint (SP). There is no correlation between SPs, SOs and MFs. For instance, WKORV-N (Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas North) 2 bdrm platinum units are assigned 148,100 SOs. If we choose to convert, we'd get 80,000 SPs. My Sheraton Vistana Villages Bella 2 bdrm platinum is assigned 81,000 SOs and 42,000 SPs.

However, it is irrelevant if you buy on the resale market, because resale owners cannot convert StarOptions to StarPoints. That is a perk reserved for folks who bought from the developer.

If you buy on the resale market, Westin Kierland Villas has the highest StarOption to MF $.

If you don't buy on the resale market, it's probably Westin Lagunamar, since Westin Kierland is not in active sales.

Every property is different. My best/worst:

My WLR gives me 115 StarOptions / USD. My WKORV gives me 49 StarOptions / USD.

My SVR Spas gives me 68 Starpoints / USD. My WKORV gives me 29 Starpoints / USD.


I think that's a subtle hint that WKORV gives me the worst value if I don't actually go there. Good thing I'm heading back again this summer.
