If you lost money from or are a victim of Stacy Gillespie (IA Vacations, Timeshare Connections, VP Title), he has been arrested and restitution is available through the court. They attempted to scam me with their eBay auction, but I was lucky to get a charge back on my Amex, so did not actually have any monetary loss in the end.

My biggest disappointment is with eBay who actively protected the scammer.

Thank you for posting this for all to see. I remember the owner of this site (TUG Brian) posting something some months ago about watching out for Timeshare resale companies in the Sevierville, TN area.

Your post hits the nail squarely on the head and points out how important it is to deal with someone ethical when buying Timeshares off of eBay. I suspect that many of these eBay sellers handle their own closings and may be doing so illegally or unethically. Your precise paperwork indeed points out how bad things were handled in your situation (and it simply would all have gone away if you had been refunded your requested $2,792). Stacy Gillespie was obviously confident he could continue to pull the wool over everyone's eyes forever. A great job on your part and glad to hear Mr. Gillespie has to experience some metal bracelets on his wrists.

It will be interesting to see if he has any funds left for restitution, or if he has spent or carefully hidden all his assets. In any event I don't expect there will be a lot of money left when all is said and done.

Are these the same people from Travel4you5 on eBay? One of the people I've been dealing with has a name of KELLY GILLISPIE. Wonder if they are related. If so my filings of complaints will go well beyond eBay and my bank.

Even if it isn't, you should file complaints with the Tennessee Attorney General and Real Estate board (oe whatever their equivalent is in Tennessee). Reporting the issue to the FTC at the federal level is also a good idea. The more reports, the more likely someone will actually look into the issue. More times than not, people get scammed and don't report it because nothing will happen. Something may happen if all those people reported it. These state and federal agencies start to take notice when they get enough complaints.

It's probably too late to take action on this However, I was scammed by IA Vacations owned by Stacy for a ton of money . The properties they sold just were not real. I bought quite a few and by the time I realized they didn't own them it was too late. I wish I saw this sooner.

I will reach out to you Best Ski Weeks....just to see.
