St. Thomas US VI Marriotts Frenchmens Cove

Has anyone ever traded into Marriott's Frenchmens Cove in St. Thomas?

I have looked for trades on Interval quite possibly several thousand times and have never once seen a resort in the Virgin Islands, let alone the MFC.

I even just tried a fake trade request, June 2015 2 BR at the Aruba Surf Club - nothing.

I recently saw a MFC Dec week and by the time I checked to see if it was available using a different unit it was gone. Best bet is to have a standing request for multiple weeks. I have traded in that way
 
Yes, it was back in 2010, but we exchanged a Playa Andaluza week and a Phuket Beach Club week for 2 consecutive weeks late October / early November in Frenchman's Cove, so it is (or at least was) possible and we do know people who have done so more recently.
 
I rarely see them on Instant Exchange and when I have, it's been close to the check-in date.

I would expect its an manageable trade during summer and fall, but tough during Jan/Feb/March. If you set up an on-going search using a deposit, I would think you would have a good chance during those periods.

I do think Instant Exchange will continue to be unreliable.

I got one for the week after Thanksgiving this past holiday season. Check in was Saturday and I found it in flexchange about 2 weeks prior to check in. We got a great room with a view right above the swimming pool. Loved it there. Happy to answer any of your questions. I probably looked and traded with a 1 bedroom gold MGV. I was actually looking for someplace in Florida and glanced to the left and was shocked to find this. God was blessing me. :)
 
The chance of getting in without having an ongoing exchange listed with II are slim to none. We traded a Grand Vista 2b/platinum unit and got in July 2012...but that was as an ongoing request with II.....St.Thomas is tough even in the summer, it is not like Aruba which has lots of inventory even in the winter time.

Thanks for the replies. I knew that this would be a hard resort to get into, but I am glad to hear that it IS possible.

I thought the same of St. Kitts and then there one day earlier this month one popped up for me......
 
We traded Grande Vista for a may week at Frenchman's cove

We traded our gold 2BR Grande Vista unit for a 2BR week May week at Frenchman's Cove, via a 'deposit first' request with I.I..
 
I've spotted it a few times (using a Kauai 1BR deposit) the last couple of years, but it doesn't come up often. I think they get picked up quickly by ongoing searches.

Since MFC only has 2BR units, you don't need to worry about interest speed or typing skills. Just place a request for the dates you want. If you confirm an exchange, it will be a minimum of 2BR. Of course, if trying to snag inside flexchange, those typing skills may come in handy...
 
I got one about 2 weeks ago. I had been looking for a few months. I got the week before Christmas. I'm not sure if that time made a difference but once it popped up I snagged it (celebrating my 40th bday there :). I had already deposited our 1 bedroom from MKO last year that we weren't able to use to get the STT. I check often too.
 
I just posted a sighting a few min ago, not the 1st I've seen
 
Last Feb was able to get this Feb 22-Mar1 using DC points. Looking forward to our first visit. Am in our 2nd week at Aruba Surf Club and heading to Bonaire next week got a 3BR house there thru VRBO. Right on water with use of kayaks!
