I am a Wyndham owner. I’ve been planning a trip for my husband’s 50th and had booked and put together a trip to St. Thomas staying in a studio loft in Linetree. Someone convince me to try an all inclusive. I was able to book an all inclusive at TRS Coral with my Wyndham reward points, now I just don’t know if we’ll enjoy that more than we will. St. Thomas. Is there anyone who’s done both and has any advice? I pretty much knew what I was doing and St. Thomas but I could use some suggestions on how to have a great trip if staying in TRS. We would still want to leave the resort and do some excursions.

Assuming you mean the Limetree in St Thomas, the Lanai restaurant there is quite good...we've eaten dinner there a number of times when staying at the Frenchman's Cove. For that matter, St Thomas is filled with wonderful restaurants...particularly in Charlotte Amalie.

I can't imagine giving that up to stay at an all-inclusive in Cancun...and my dear wife would kill me if I tried. But that's me/us.

I haven't done either yet, but we have an upcoming stay at TRS Coral for six nights in the next few weeks. We also used Wyndham Rewards points. You can certainly book excursions from TRS Coral and there are certainly plenty of things to see and do in Cancun. Isla Mujeres, Chitchen Itza, Tulum. In Cancun you are more likely to book an excursion with a business vs perhaps doing things more on your own in St Thomas.

You really won't know what you think of the all-inclusive experience unless you try it first. That is kinda how we felt. TRS Coral will be our first all-inclusive. We've read good things and bad things. Reviews are always hard to go by. I hope it goes well because we still have a pile of Wyndham Reward points with no better way to really use them.
