For those who have been...

Do the OV units in buildings 5 and 4 mostly go to weeks owners? Leaving the OV villas in 3, 9, and 10 for DP stays?

Are all of the villas in buildings 6, 7, and 8 Oceanside villas or are some of the ground floor villas considered Garden View?

Have you stayed in both Interior (1 Balcony) and Exterior (2 Balcony) Villas? From the MVC floorplans it looks like the interior 2BRs get a far more gracious master bath - larger tub, larger shower, shower not in the toilet room - in exchange for that Master Bedroom balcony. Any thoughts? TIA

Just sharing our separate exchange for others to know

We own 2 Bed External Garden view weeks.
We prefer the external units for 2 main reasons - the extra balcony and bedrooms at opposite ends of the villa.
Buildings 6, 7 and 8 are all Ocean Front units, whatever floor they are on.
I really don’t know how the allocation priorities work (does anyone?).
However, we normally get preference within our Garden View designation, but never ever a better view (understandably)

We stayed in bldg 3, exterior 2 BR several times. Because it is a pool view from the two balconies, we always asked for second floor or third floor for better privacy. They’ve never given us third floor, and we think it’s because that’s actually considered an ocean view…

If climbing stairs is a problem, then you don’t want to be on the third floor. Just a point to consider.

Yes, third floor units of the buildings set back from the ocean can be Ocean View.
St Kitts Beach Club is somewhat unusual in the way that the view designations vary within buildings.
When we first bought there long ago now the Sales Manager hand drew for us how the buildings / view designations map out.
I have never seen any official published site map showing this though.

Which leaves me wondering if anyone here has stayed in an Interior 2BR (w/1 Balcony)

Also, throwing this out there for any later searches. In particular, for those looking to see odds on a waitlist...

10 Buildings, each with...

3rd floor - 3BR, Int 2BR, Ext 2BR
2nd floor - Ext 2BR, Int 2BR, Int 2BR, Ext 2BR
1st floor - Ext 2BR, Int 2BR, Int 2BR, Ext 2BR

Ocean Side - 5 Int and 5 Ext 2BRs in Bldgs 6, 7, & 8. For a total of 15 Int OS + 15 Ext OS = 30 OS 2BRs
Ocean View - 1 Int and 1 Ext 2BRs in Bldgs 3, 9, & 10 + 3 Int and 3 Ext 2BRs in Bldgs 4 & 5. For a total of 9 Int OV + 9 Ext OV = 18 OV 2BRs
Garden View - 5 Int and 5 Ext 2BRs in Bldgs 1 & 2 + 4 Int and 4 Ext 2BRs in Bldgs 3, 9, & 10 + 2 Int and 2 Ext 2BRs in Bldgs 4 & 5. For a total of 26 Int GV + 26 Ext GV = 52 GV 2BRs

This photo perhaps gives an idea of the enormous outdoor space with the 3 Bed units at one end of each building top floor.

Thank you very much for your help. I'm now on to choosing villas and am somewhat puzzled. The MVC map shows each building having room numbers X100-X307 (where X is the building number) which seems odd since the MVC floorplans would suggest that the villas at St. Kitts can't possibly be lock-offs and there are only 3 or 4 villas per floor.

Do you know if X300 or X307 is the 3BR? I ask because I think my #1 choice would be the Ext 2BR immediately below and if X300 is the 3BR then X200 should be that 2BR, yes? TIA

For sure there are no lock off units in St Kitts, only 3 Bed, 2 Bed External and 2 Bed Internal.
I can’t readily recall how the unit numbering works, other than to say that as 2 Bed External Garden View owners we have for example stayed in 9100 and 9107 at each end of Camp Bay House.
Each building has only one 3 Bed unit, so you could always make your request relative to that, whatever the number, although perhaps someone else here can confirm whether it ends “0” or “7”?
All I would add is that on one trip we were on the second floor immediately below a 3 Bed and it sounded like a herd of elephants above us very early every morning! I know that can be a risk whenever you are not on the top floor, but ever since we have requested NOT to be under a 3 Bed.

Really good advice...now that I think of it being under the 3BR's deck would not be wise. I was able to book Oceanside with DPs and they put the 3BR on the 'better' side of OS buildings. I *was* thinking the Ext 2BR under the 3BR in 6 or 7 would be optimal...but no longer. Thanks again!

It may just be that we were unlucky on that one trip, but you never know.
Anyway, have a great time. I love the island and the people there.

Does anyone know if Unit 6100 is a first floor room? Would it have a balcony or would it be a walk out patio? I assume even if first floor, it would have an oceanview since it’s Oceanside?

This adds up to 110 villas, but the resort is only listed as having 88 villas so there is a discrepancy somewhere.

There are only 88 MVC villas in the resort, comprising 8 buildings each with 11 villas.
To the best of my knowledge buildings
1 Pembroke House
2 Basseterre House
are not included in the MVC owner portfolio.

Pembroke House isn't named on the current resort map (which oddly enough sits on the vistana.com website). The building is shown...but not named. Perhaps it is out service due to renovation? If another is also out of service that would take the count down to 88.

If you look at the Marriott Hotel website the hotel lists a 1BR villa with full kitchen and a 2BR villa with full kitchen as room options but they are all listed as either Garden View or Resort View so I'm guessing those hotel villas are in Pembroke and maybe part of one or two of the other MVC buildings and that's how the MVC villa count gets down to the 88?

We have owned at the St Kitts resort for well over 10 years and those two buildings were never part of the MVC resort.
It is possible that they are hotel owned, but as I recall in the early years anyway it was used for staff and/or student accommodation, with no access to the MVC pool…etc
