Has anyone signed up for Spirit's $9 Fare Club? And if so, have you gotten any good airfare deals because of it?

There are some really good fares, but your travel dates have to be flexible to make use of them. And, the cheap seats sell out rather quickly.

Once they send out the email with the sale fares/dates, you have to act quickly to find something you can use and book it. It works best for those who can fly out of DTW or FLL. Many more options flying out of these two hubs. HTH

I had a three month trial membership when I was looking for low fares to Providenciales out of Ft. Lauderdale. The $9 fare club never offered anything I could use, but I found a cheap fare that was available to everyone.
Since I cancelled my membership, Spirit has changed the way they advertise their low fares. All of the fares, including the $9 fare club ones, are included in their emails. Maybe you could sign up for Spirit's email service and get the same information that the $9 fare club members receive. Or get a free trial $9 fare club membership, if it's still available.

Just an added comment... you can sign up for the emails, if you just want to see what fares are offered. But, to book them, you have to join their "club."

Judy and Pit: I do get their emails advising of lowered fares. Have noticed that the $9 fare club prices are also showing up in the listings. No dates that I need yet. May still consider signing up, since we would be using DTW for flying out of (as much as I hate having to drive to that airport - would rather use the smaller airport in Flint, MI).
