Southwest Flights

If anyone has flights on Southwest booked check the rates as you get closer to leaving. I have a flight from Maui to San Diego on January 11th and the laast 3 days the pricing has gone down slightly every day. What it wierd is even though the flight stops in Honolulu the fare is much more if flying from Honolulu.

You do know that if the prices drop you can go in and change your flight to the same flight and get either points back or travel credit.

I am finding Southwest very expensive lately, but I still use them because they fly out of our local airport.

I have gotten almost 6,000 points back over the last few days. I booked my original flight about 2 weeks out and now about 10 days before prices are down.

This is very common. You are basically being compensated for the inconvenience of taking an indirect flight.
