Is there anyone staying at Smugglers Notch this week that can tell me about what the weather is like? Have the "fall colors" begun to make an appearance yet? We have a unit booked for next year at this time and wanted to know how things are this week. Thanks!
 
Last week we had overcast clouds every day and rain off and on. Only 1 day was a wash out. The temps were cool days to chilly at night. Very little color change.
 
This week the weather has been beautiful.

This week the weather has been beautiful. Sunny days with daytime temperatures in the seventies, nighttime temperatures in the forties, just what the trees need to turn color. Even the air smells like fall when you step out the door.

There is a saying in New England: "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute". There is no way of predicting what the weather will be like this time next year, nor how much color the trees will have. This year at this time there is just a hint of color, we still have a long way to go until full color. Next year we could have early color, who knows. No matter what the weather, you will be able to find plenty to do and see.
