Sling TV on Firestick 4K - New UI - WTH!!!

We usually watch Sling on the weekends an boy were we in for an unpleasant surprise. They updated the User Interface for Amazon Firestick owners:

Did they really test this flaming POS?

How do I hate it, let me count the ways:

• When you pause to read credits or something on the screen (like when characters text one another), the screen remains dimmed to highlight the time bar. It doesn't seem to time out. [Design flaw]
• Guide: You can only see schedule in 90 minute increments. [Design flaw]
• Guide: I can't find a way to skip to a day in the week, I have to slog ahead in 30 minute increments. [Design flaw]
• Guide: Does not remember state (All, Favorites, Sports ...) on startup. [Design flaw]
• DVR: You can't restart viewing a show from the beginning as a viewing option. [Design flaw]
• DVR: I can't access older recordings. (I can access using the online UI, and then it is available on Fire TV as "Continue Viewing") [Error]

This isn't even beta-test software.

This is the reason we no longer are cord cutters. Finding a UI that was easy to use and provided a decent experience was tough. But, Sling had the best we tried, at one time.

I’m sure you’ve probably tried clearing the cache and memory in the Firestik, not that it’s going to make up for any design flaws. Good luck

Now they have pushed the new UI to the regular Fire Stick. Welcome to the club.

UPDATE:

• DVR: You can't restart viewing a show from the beginning as a viewing option. [Design flaw]

They have moved restart viewing to an option once you start viewing - irritating but it is there.

FIXED:

• DVR: I can't access older recordings. (I can access using the online UI, and then it is available on Fire TV as "Continue Viewing") [Error]
