Hi
Has anyone been to this resort in a 2 bedroom / sleeps 8 unit. I understand that there is now a housekeeping fee, other than that what should I expect. Is there a charge to use the shuttle bus to area attractions ? Are there other fees or hidden charges at this resort? Any info would be appreicieated---
Thanks.. Bill

Easyrider:

We stayed there four year ago in a 2 bedroom sleeps 8. We were fortunate to get the top floor unit and loved it. The top floor has vaulted ceilings and, of course, no one stomping around above you.

The units are large and very nice, though were showing a bit of normal wear (carpets mostly). The grounds are well maintained, with a nice, but small pool that was never crowded.

Large screened porch was nice in the evening and, most important for us, was convenient to Disney. You can see fireworks at night from the parking lot.

There are two sections of Silver Lake, we stayed in the older section, which is where I believe all the sleep 8 units are located. I actually much prefer the older section, as we looked at the newer section and thought the rooms seemed much smaller.

Not a lot of activities at the resort, but we didn't care since it's Orlando and we only wanted a nice place to come home to. Overall I found it far superior to Sheraton Vistana, where we have also stayed on the same trip.
