OK. How difficult is it to setup a Wii system on a TV that already has a DVD player, HD Cable Box, etc.?

That depends on how many input positions the TV has remaining.

The big screen LCD we purchased nearly a year ago has six external inputs and is no problem adding 'boxes'.

My sis-in-law had an older set with three inputs and already had a sat, box, dvd/vcr & kareoke machine. We ended up with an external audio & video switcher box that we fed the kareoke and wii systems into with the output of the switcher into one of the three on the TV. Works fine.

Same experience here. Connecting the Wii is easy as long as there is a free spot. Since our older model TV was already overloaded with gadgets, we also resorted to an external switch box. The Wii gets its own dedicated button. :)

Other considerations are that of course it wants its own spot on the AC outlet and it very much wants a wireless internet connection.
