Trying to decide whether or not it would be worth it to take my laptop on our upcoming trip. I would like to be able to communicate with my family while we are there instead of using my Verizon telephone. Someone wrote that Velas Vallarta has wifi in the lobby. Opinions would be helpful.

I don't have any info about internet availability at that location, but I do know that when my daughter went down to Cabo in August, she was able to communicate on Verizon very cheaply via text messages. Each message was only about five cents, I think. Much cheaper than regular cell phone calls.

Last year the price was too expensive for me,,so just used the business centre upstairs to check email etc..I think it was 15.00 per day.
