Is it worth it to have this insurance? Are there a lot of exemptions? Does the policy return your maintenance fees for weeks and points? Thanks!
Interesting. I had one claim about 5 years ago and they paid out the full maintenance fee, including the taxes and reserve fee.Prior insurers of MVCI travel insurance only paid out the operating fee. Taxes and reserve funding were not covered by the insurance. Not sure if this is true given the new underwriter of these plans.

To the best of my knowledge, for European owners it is even worse as it has never been available to us.Marriott has let down their international customers. No longer is it available to Canadian owners, etc. I'm covered until the end of this year with their previous insurer but no renewals! Bad show Marriott.

It is a full plan with Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, Trip Inconvenience, Baggage & Personal Effects, Baggage Delay, Recreational Sporting Equipment Rental, Security Deposit Protection, Emergency Medical Expense, Emergency Dental Expense, Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation, 24 Hour Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Rental Car Damage, Travel Assistance
& Concierge Services.
Would the fee cover all my Marriott resorts on a yearly basis, or is only good for one resort at a time?
I think I read it covers exchanges too. Is that correct?
I lost a Desert Springs week last year because my daughter was sick, she was traveling with me, and I could not travel. Would that have been covered? Or would it have to my illness (and not a family member's)?
Where is this offered? MVC? II? Link, please.

I suspect you'll have to live in the USA and not just be a USA citizen. Give them a call and let us know. I really feel Marriott has let down their Canadian owners unless they changed that since I last called.
Good luck.

Here is the answer to that question about Travelex coverage. It is based on US residency. You MUST have a US address to be covered. So, in other words, they will not cover you if you are Canadian. There you go. Sucks. Marriott isn't able to offer any direction regarding coverage for those of us in Canada and while we are going to Orlando in Dec. with kids and grandkids, I don't know where to begin requesting insurance coverage.
If you are just looking for medical coverage, you can usually get cheap policies at your local Canadian bank branch. We did this a lot. Can't offer advice for trip delay or cancellation though.
