Shortening a stay can only be done on reservations made Oct 29.2024 or later

The overall rules for this would be nice to have in our FAQ stickies? I can draft something @HitchHiker71, if you'd like me to.

Also, could we put in the FAQ how to stop having to get a 6 digit code every time we log in (the authentication). I'll draft that, too, if someone explains again. I can't find the info, so a repeat lesson would be appreciated. I think @chapjim you posted that info at one time?

The rules are also here: https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinations.com/us/en/owner-guide/resources/reservation-modifications
Way, way down at the bottom of that is where it mentions that reservations made prior to the launch of this feature (which is apparently October 29 per this post, not November 4 as the header for the update here is labeled) cannot have nights removed.

It would be nice to have the two-factor stickiness instructions put somewhere accessible as you suggest. I followed them when it was posted and it worked for a while, but then it stopped working a month or two ago.

I did post something about Two Factor Authentication a while back in the context of the Do Not Challenge check box having no effect. One computer required 2FA and the other one didn't for some reason. I've been using the one that didn't require 2FA lately so don't know if the check box does anything now.

I've setting up a big family/friend trips with several rooms. We have needed to add or subtract a day and I've found that the system modifications are not working well at all. The system might allow adding a day, but then insisted that I needed to end a day early. In the modification screen, it would not allow me to pick my original end date. On another, I could see that the same room style was available, but the system indicated no modifications were available. In both cases, owner services was easily able to complete the modification by phone.

When I've run into this same issue, I found that using the mobile app allowed me to choose the dates I needed. YMMV

I've added an entry to the Wyndham FAQ page for the Modify Nights item - and included the link that @paxsarah provided above for direct reference (no sense reinventing the wheel and having to maintain something on the FAQ page that Wyndham is already documenting).

Feel free to draft up something regarding the MFA item - I'm not sure what everyone is referring to beyond simply clicking the "Do Not Challenge" checkbox? Is there something else that can be done to work around this issue? At a high level, my understanding is that this feature has never really worked with Apple devices, and this still is the case currently (I've never had this work on my Apple iPhone - across different iPhone versions and across all browsers - including Safari, Chrome, and Edge mobile apps). That said, the mobile app on iPhones - using the Face ID feature - bypasses this issue entirely - and still offers MFA authentication - combining the password (something you know) with Face ID (biometric - something you have). So for anyone who is having this issue on a mobile device - use the app from this point forward.

Actually, I've made it work on my Macbook (Big Sur) by installing and using the Microsoft Edge browser.
The "Do Not Challenge" checkbox works quite reliably that way. I think I might have to re-check
the box (and type in an emailed challenge code) on the order of once a year now - perhaps as a long-lived cookie expires?

I also remember some discussion about enabling third party cookies or somesuch on other
browsers, but the details have faded into the mists of time.

I only own at National Harbor and it only went up slightly.
Not to to bad, maintenance fee up 3.2% from $4.90/1000 to $5.06/1000. With program fee going up 4.3% from $0.70 to $0.73. All in maintenance fee with program fee about a 3.4% increase from $5.60/1000 to $5.79/1000

It worked for me on iPhone with Chrome using the instructions posted in this thread (https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/a...r-last-maintenance.362946/page-2#post-3051927), but it stopped working a couple of months ago and I haven’t been able to get it back.

I absolutely hate making reservations using my phone. I'm wanting 3 nights at the Grand Desert. 2/13-2/16. A couple of days ago I was able to book a 3br for 12-14 and 1dx for 14-16. We only need a 1br for this trip. Tonight, I see a 1dx available for 12-14, meaning I should be able to add a night. My screen shots show that online, the system allows me to add the 13th, but then forces a reduction to the 15th. Based on this thread, I downloaded the app, logged in, and was successful in adding the night of the 13th.
