I've confirmed a week at Sherton Vistana for a 2 BR 8/6 with a Friday check in.

I've been looking through past posts and they raised a couple of questions that I hope someone can answer. Is unit location (section of the resort) based on unit size and check in day? If so, is there someplace I can find this information? As someone coming in with a trade, can I still request which section I'd like? If so, how do I do that? I saw a post about the "Diamond Lane" process, but I'm thinking that is for Starwood members???

Also, if I can request location, any input on which section(s) are preferable would be appreciated.

All phases EXCEPT, the Courts, Falls, Spas and Fountains II have all three check-in days. Because the unit is a 6/8, you could be in the following phases...
- Spas (all friday c/i)
- Palms
- Springs
- Fountains I
- Lakes
- Cascades

If you are an owner, you can call Owner Services at 1-800-VISTANA and request one of those phases.

I am not an owner, this was done through an RCI trade (I forgot to include that in my original post).

It is my daughter and a couple of her friends who will be using the unit. I could let them just go with the luck of the draw, but thought I'd see if I could help them out if possible.

I posted the earlier question in regards to the resort. I used the Diamond Lane Process, and I'm not an owner. I received an automated response from them regarding the acknowledgement of my request.

In addition, I had asked them specific questions, but none were answered. I think I will give them a call the week before our arrival.

Thanks about the information about the Diamond Lane. I went in and looked and it asks for your confirmation (or reservation number). Did you use the one from the RCI exchange?

Also, I'm still looking for recommendations on which phases I should request, or avoid.

The Cascades is located near the amenities but IMO the 2bedrooms "feel" a little smaller than the Lakes and Fountains I (Both of these phases have been completely remodeled).

The SPAS phase has very big units for the 6/8. Fountains and Spas have three floors and no elevators. Lakes has elevators.

Other's may chime in but this is my opinion.
