Is there a set check in date for floating weeks or can you choose Fri Sat or Sunday.

I checked trying to make a reservation with our Bella week in the Home Resort Priority window and I am able to book a checkin day of Fri, Sat or Sun.

Thank you
What is your priority window with that being your home resort.

12-8 months in advance of checkin. Are you looking to buy SVV?

Yes. I am looking at a eoyo it is in the Bella village.
I already have an even year time share with westgate. I then got a wyndham account free at Orlando international. That of course is now useless. I was going to take the swap but then decided I'd had enough with wyndham. I only need the odd year and this looks like a nice resort.
I would be booking either week 6 or 8 to go with our coco beach week 7 time share every year. With the priority booking I am thinking either of these weeks should be doable.

Be careful with Bella. It has a shorter Prime season and for some reason I’m thinking it might not include weeks six or seven. I’ll have to double check when I have access to our estoppel for Bella.

Ill double check with seller. Add says you can book weeks 1-50. Not week 51 or 52

It’s a very nice resort. There are actually several phases - which have differing features on booking into home resort, or whether they have mandatory StarOptions included.

If you do go with a mandatory unit, keep in mind that you’ll have to pay the VSN fee every year, even if it is just an EOY ownership.

Also, be careful with some of the deeds (particularly Bella) as the home resort period may be slightly different than what is listed on the StarOptions chart. You don’t want to pay 2BR fees for a lower number of SO and then find you don’t have enough to book the high season weeks you’re wanting.

You may also want to consider SVR as an alternative (lower annual fees) or even Sheraton Flex if you want home resort bookings that can start/end on different days of the week or vary in length.

What is the VSN fee?
Add says 67100 star options. Not very familiar with this system.
Is there a points chart for star options at this resort?

This is exactly what I was thinking. I think the “Prime” weeks for Bella are 7-17, 23-34 and 51-52 according to my research.

According to the SO chart the Platinum season is 6-17, 23-34, 39-47, and 51-52. So the Prime week likely wouldn’t have access to weeks 6, and 39-47. Probably okay if weeks 7-8 are key, but definitely less flexibility and much higher MF/SO.

That sounds like Sheraton Vistana Resort not Sheraton Vistana villages.

StarOptions are the internal currency that you can use to trade into different Vistana resorts starting at the 8 month point (reservations made 8-12 months are home resort reservations). I must have been reading your mind since I just posted the StarOptions chart.

It will tell you how many StarOptions you would need to book 0-8 months out (Bella has a few quirks which @dioxide45 has alluded to). We’ll do our best to help you figure this out.

For example, based on the chart if you wanted to make a StarOptions reservation for weeks 6-8 in a 2BR (non-LO) you would need 81000 SO. Your 2BR would not have enough SO if it only gets 67,100 (but you may be able to book it as a home resort booking).

Thank you .
It definitely won't work for a 2 bedroom the weeks i
need. Ill keep looking.
Would I need the star options if it is a floating Bella week?

The add is in the tugg market place. It lists as a svv. It says floats 1- 50.
Then 67100 star options. If It also excludes the weeks I need however it won't work.

You won’t need SO as a home resort reservation, you just need to make sure that the floating period includes weeks 6-8 (the weeks you are wanting) on the deed. Many sellers don’t actually know what the specific float period is for their resort and try to sell it as points.

I see the ad, and it looks a little off, but there were some variations on the deeds. If you can get the owner to provide you with the specific documents that would outline the booking period that would be helpful.

Take a look at Sheraton Vistana Resort as well. The fees are quite a bit lower. It’s not mandatory, so you won’t have to pay the VSN fee, but won’t get StarOptions - but it’s very easy to book. Units there in the Lakes and Cascades phases had access to the Vistana Vacation Club which allows you to trade within a few of the other Vistana Florida resorts for no additional fee (similar to II). You can usually get these weeks for free with the seller paying the transfer fees as well as sometimes throwing in the first year of use free.

SVR Cascades also has some units that are fixed-float, so you could pick up a week 8 for example and it would automatically book week 8 for you each year. If you want week 6 you could use the floating period.

Take your time. I really like the Vistana resorts and it’s a solid system but there are a lot of little details that sometimes get overlooked.

I own a SVV Bella 2 BR non-LO Prime (Platinum) week. I get 81,000 StarOptions for it and have a home week of 7-17, 23-34, & 51-52. Best guess from the description of this week is that it's a SVV Bella 2 BR non-LO Gold Plus week because it just gets 67,100 StarOptions and can't book 51-52. I really don't know of any allowance for booking outside of the season you own there - I just use it for points.

It would include week 6, which is one that OP was looking for. The MFs are slightly lower for the Gold Plus weeks there but it doesn't offset the VSN fee, which can't be opted out from since it's mandatory VSN.

Would it also include week 8? That would also work but would prefer to have both options.

I did look at SVR. It took a minute to realize they were 2 separate resorts lol. Biggest drawback is the lack of elevators there. We already have 2 timeshares on either the 2 nd or 3 rd floor and would like to avoid that. I know we can request ground floor but that isn't always gaurenteed.
If this doesn't pan out I will look there also.
Is the VSN fee large? Don't need the star options so that helps.

If you buy into Lakes or Cascades at SVR, there are elevators.

Nope - week 8 is in the SVV Prime (Platinum) season.

Checked with seller. It is a gold plus account.
If I understand correctly I could book week 6 at 12 months.
If I wanted week 8 I could use star options 8 months out for a one bedroom for 51,700 at any SVV.
The sellers account info does not show weeks available to float so I've requested they contact the resort to see exactly which weeks are available.

I don’t know if anyone has posted whether the fees have changed, but for a single timeshare it would be $170/year for the VSN fee - the last I could find was from 2023. This would be in addition to your regular annual MF.

If you get a unit in Cascades or Lakes at SVR you will have an elevator and they have usually been very good about letting you switch into Cascades or Lakes even if you own in Fountains or one of the other phases.
