Sheraton Vistana Questions

If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

We are going there in 2 weeks. We have a 9 and 6 year old. A family that is coming with us has a 5 and 3 year old.

I have looked on their website and cant find any info as well as in my RCI confirmation

1) Do any of the 7 pools have an spiral slides or water play areas.

2) We have 4 units (all 2 bedrooms), if we request units together, is is likely this will happen. Should I try to get their earlier on my check in day to possiblly have this occur. Any help is appreciated as it is a family reunion and we would like top be near each other.

3) I know they have miniture golf and other kids things. Are there any structured kids activites where we can drop them off for a camp or something.

4) What are the newest two sections

5) Can we request a specific section. If so, how good are they about accomadating

There are tons of kid activities at Vistana. Problem is, the place is a mega-resort, so your parties can be so far apart you'd have to drive your car to meet each other. The way trades are done, I doubt you can request which rooms you get, like you might at a hotel. On the bright side, if your party is all over the place, you can experience a wide variety of experiences by trying different phases of the resort during the week. They publish an activity calender you will get when you check in, so you may want to tour the whole resort just to take it all in. They also have some nice restaurants on property, so I think you will have a great time even if you are not in the same section.

I can answer some of the questions as we go here every year:

1 Pool does have a slide..it is located near the tennis courts. Other pools have water falls, kids areas. The number of pools here are plenty!

2) We have 4 units (all 2 bedrooms), if we request units together, is is likely this will happen. Should I try to get their earlier on my check in day to possiblly have this occur. Any help is appreciated as it is a family reunion and we would like top be near each other.

Not sure on this one..if going in the summer, might be tough to get rooms together. I'd tell them it is a reunion and it's your first time..they might try to accomidate. btw..they will call several times to schedule a sales meeting. It can run several hours! I'd bypass that.

They have a mini-golf course, though, it was pretty beat last year. However, there are structured kids activities. There are several activity centers where you can get schedules.

4) What are the newest two sections

The Lakes and Fountains are across the street. Lakes look great, fountains just o.k. Cascades are Very nice too. Try not to get the Courts or Falls sections. However, if this is a trade with RCI, usually the resort will put you in an older section which is why RCI downgraded this resort from Gold Crown to Silver crown. Other pretty good sections are Palms/Springs/Spas.

5) Can we request a specific section. If so, how good are they about accomadating

Probably based on how busy they are..I doubt you can request a section. Once again, any section other than courts/falls are nice. Some units do face I-4 though which isn't great.

Don't your reservation confirmations tell you what phase and unit you are in? When I trade into Vistana thru RCI, the confirmation tells me which unit I'm getting. I would think by now you know which 4 rooms you're booked in.
