Received an e-mail for a 5-day stay in a 1BR at Sheraton Vistana Villages from SVC. Says it costs $249 and have the choice to either receive a $100 gc for Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs or 15k bonvoy points. I called to ask if there's a requirement to sit through a sales pitch or presentation and they said no. Just wondering if there's any other tactics they use or anything else I should be aware of before booking this? Thanks!

They may say there is no sales pitch or presentation, but you might be subjected to a “update.”;)

Remember, there are rarely any free lunches.

I got the same deal before I ever owned, and I took it. You don't have to go to a presentation, but they will call you and offer even more incentives, such as more points or an upgraded room, if you agree to go to a presentation after all. And that is how I ended up an owner. Found TUG after the rescission period ended, but luckily I only purchased a small Flex VOI, so my initial financial outlay wasn't TOO much compared to some. Since then I've added to my ownership through the resale market.

Even when you go to Westin presentations on Maui, they don't force you to go on a presentation for the discounted stay. We have several friends who have done it and no presentation required. They hope you will be blown away and will want to go on a presentation.

Unfortunately for the salespeople, our friends know not to buy anything from the developer.

I was just there on a deal with a presentation and had a great stay. My salesperson was low pressure (or we said the right things) and we were in and out quickly.
