I am looking at staying a couple of weeks at the Sheraton Steamboat Springs in June. I see availability for a Mountainview Studio for 67,100 Starpoints and for a Studio (no modifier) for 44,000. Is there a significant difference between the units? Are there different buildings there?

What building should I put down in the request section of the reservation?

I am staying at the Westin Riverfront first and then moving on to Steamboat Springs. I've been to the Westin before but not to Steamboat Springs yet.

The Mountain View faces directly at the mountain and the chair lifts. The non-Mountain View is the same room just overlooks the valley and into steamboat and over Streamboat Times Square. Both are great views and the valley view you get the sunset and you can see all the hot air balloons during the day. It overlooks the pool as well. Both are great views in the summer.

Thanks! It doesn't sound like it's worth paying anything extra for the Mountain View. It is over 50% more Staroptions. To me the valley view sounds more attractive, regardless of cost.

Mountain view in winter might be worth it, but nothing to see but empty chairlifts in June.

I stayed in the studio as part of a 3 bedroom lock-off when we were there last January. Great unit. We had a view of the rooftop of the next building and would still stay there again. Great place, but we are skiers and the Sheraton Steamboat is the best location on the hill.

There are three buildings total though two of them are linked up to really be one building with two different wings. The mountain view studios are on the end cap of the east wing of the main building. They look out over the ski resort. The regular studios are on the sides of the east and west wings of the main building and can face either the driveway or Ski Time Square. The third timeshare building is 2 to 4 bedroom units only. I always get the regular studio on the driveway side so I don't have to hear the noise from the plaza on the other side or from the restaurant that's just below the mountain view studios.
