Are the 2bd units located in the same buildings as the lockoffs? I've read complaints about thin walls and a lot of noise from other rooms.
Is the walk across the street to the beach/pool a pain?

We are looking at staying at Sheraton Kauai Resort Villas in June 2023 on options. We have 2 teenagers and since the villas are so small, will likely need a 2bd. Disappointing because we'd like to stretch our 148k options out and stay longer than a week like we can at WKORN, but I'm afraid we'd be on top of each other in a 1bd.

Same buildings. Walk not difficult. I posted a long review here when the resort opened…

We have a stay coming up here in early November in a 2 bedroom. There are 4 of us adults. The one bedroom just didn't have enough space for us as far as places to eat, so I chose the 2 bedroom. I stayed in the same location but a different resort with my brother several years ago and that hotel was also across the street. The walk wasn't bad and is a good chance to see the gardens and landscaping. Loved the Poipu area so much more than Princeville. While beautiful, it rained every day on our last trip to Kauai (April 4 years ago) when we were in Princeville. Plus, Poipu is more convenient to where the activities we want to go to are located .... Waimea canyon, boat cruises up the west side, the swing bridge, coffee plantation, beaches, etc.

Its not the greatest condo, but the location is awesome. no problem walking across street, low traffic area.

Sheraton Kauai Resort Villa’s studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedrooms units are all much smaller than WKORN. Location is decent, not ocean front, it’s across the street from Sheraton Hotel. In my opinion, it wasn’t worthwhile to trade 148100 Star Options for the 2-bedrooms. However, if you elect the new Abound points, only takes 2975 point (most of the season) for 1 week at a 2-bedrooms at Sheraton Kauai Resort Villa. I believe you can get 6200 Abound points for your 148100 star options at WKORN.

The 2BR LO is actually smaller than the 1BR at WKORVN and the 2BR is only 50 square feet larger so you are still going to be on top of each other. However, as pointed out above if you elect Abound and can get a reservation then at least you'll be able to be on top of each other for 12 nights instead of seven :giggle:

The 2bed also has a small kitchen table and perhaps 3ft countertop total. I recall having to use the kitchen table to prepare meals since there was no where else to prep. That said, they did a very nice job with the design given the structural constraints.

Good example of when Abound might actually be beneficial over StarOptions. While not all VSN owners will benefit, many could from this example (I think even the lower values given to WKV make this exchange better in Abound compared to VSN).

I agree. This is one of the resorts where I agree it doesn’t deserve to be on par in pricing with the Westins in Hawaii. It’s simply not as nice a resort.

I think you have to get a 2 bedroom as we are a family of 3 and couldn’t book the 1 bedroom as it was for 2 people only.
We stayed there in July 2022. It is loud. Our noise came from the elephant stampede over head every single night. My son loved having his own room and bathroom with a TV. The kitchenette is irritating as we used the table to hold our food as there is not a single empty cabinet. The fridge is apartment sized.
The access the beach is amazing. The pool at the timeshare side is boring but quiet. You need to claim a chair on the hotel side by 6:30 am.
