So I hope someone can help me. I have been looking at buying a timeshare that I can get the getaways form II as I have a pretty flexable travel shced, however I also want one I would use too or be able to trade. I was planning in buying sheraton vistana lakes or cascades because it is cheap and I would not mind going to Orlando if I could not trade, however I have now seen the desert oasis. I wouls think this would be real easy to trade into Orlando all the time should I want to, especially since I would be going in Jan there which is the slowest season, and also I may be able to trade into better places like hawaii, ect and even nicer resorts in Orlando ie DVC. Can anyone share their thoughts. Thanks in advance.

sdo is much better for exchanging than orlando without a doubt. you could get a 2 br in oralndo for a small 1 br sdo. love both resorts.

If you're planning on going to Orlando in January, I think I'd just buy a getaway week instead of doing an exchange. My guess is you can get a getaway week during the offseason in Orlando at prices less than the maintenance fee and not have to pay an exchange fee. Also, I think you can join II to get access to the getaway weeks without owning a TS but I might be wrong about that.
