Sheraton Deserts on Interval's website lists 1BR K (Kitchen) and also 1BR LK (limited kitchen)

I understand those two designations.....but they have a third.....simply 1BR (all of them sleep 4).

How could there be a THIRD choice of 1BR units.....what type of kitchen would THAT be?

Thanks

When you click on the listing, you can see the amenities.

We own a couple of one bedrooms at SDO and one EOY lockoff. We pay exorbitant fees for the one bedrooms compared to the lockoff unit. Don't know what the reason for that is.

I still don't understand what the THIRD designation, 1BR sleeps 4 (vs the other two 1BR K, sleeps 4, and 1BR LK sleeps 4)

Interval lists ALL THREE types....

At SDO there are some of the smaller 1 bed units that do not have a cooktop. So listed with no kitchen.

Per the II amenity description the no kitchen 1-bed has no hot plate or microwave/convection oven. The LK does and the K does plus it has a larger refrigerator

The 1BR LK and 1BR (no K) destination are the same. Apparently it has to do with how ownership is held when deposited. Based on a recent thread, if someone owns a small 1BR unit and deposits the small 1BR it shows up as LK. If a 2BR LO owner deposits the small 1BR, the small shows up with no designation for a kitchen. Odd indeed.

Look at the Marriott website as if you were renting. It shows the two versions of the 1 bedroom, which are essentially the A and B side of a 2 bedroom lock-off

As @dioxide45 has noted, the LK and 1 bedroom no kitchen are the same unit. If owned separately, the B side deposits and shows LK. If locked off from your 2 bedroom, it does not indicate the kitchen. BUT they are the exact same units.

The smaller B side is your typical Studio side in all respects, except that it actually has a separate bedroom, but it is no larger than a typical studio.

We stayed here in March, in the larger 1BR side of the lock off. When we checked in, we were told we were in a "premium 1BR".

Yes, they refer to them as Premium and Standard. I understand that if you are in the Standard (smaller) you can request a portable cooktop from the front desk as they don't have a built in cook top in the smaller 1BR.

Pots and pans are apparently in the cabinet above the refrigerator. Something I missed in my room tour video of the standard 1BR on my YouTube channel that someone pointed out in the comments.

This thread was helpful. I’ve owned at SDO for 15 years now but never visited. I check in on Sunday via an II exchange of a bonus certificate. It was for a “1br no kitchen” which I just presumed was a small side 1BR, bc I understood there are only two types of 1BR.
