We are going to our "home resort" this weekend. It's been at least 5 years since we last stayed at Shawnee. Does anyone know if the units have a DVD player? The Shawnee owner site just listed a VCR; but it seems the site hasn't been updated since 2005 (an "activities calendar" was shown from fall of 2005). Also....do the RVII units still have the "red soaking tubs"....or have they been remodeled with jacuzzi tubs? I would doubt that the units have wifi.....but anywhere at the resort to use a laptop? One last question....my youngest is a "mini golf fanatic".....and I know the activities center has the mini golf course....any idea of the cost per game? It would be nice if the resort had "one weekly fee" for the mini golf, but I doubt that has been implemented.
Thanks for any insights you can offer.

Deb,
We were at Ridge Top last week. The units in RT have a DVD & VCR. I would think that the RVII units do also but you may want to call them to check.

The soaking tubs in RT have been getting replaced as they refurbish the units. Again, if you call the resort they can tell about your specific unit in RVII.

There is free wifi at the recreation center. You can access it inside, or outside at the picnic tables or on the upper sun deck. We were in RT-1, the closest unit to the rec center and I was hoping I could pick up the wifi in the unit, but no luck.

The mini golf course has two 18-hole courses. The fee is $6 per game. They used to offer a multi-game discount book but I'm not sure if they still do...we didn't play at all this year.

I'll have to find my checkin information for the RVII unit we stayed in during spring break in April. There was no DVD player in the unit. It also had the ugly red soaking tub, which we chose not to use. Our unit had not been refurbished. We were in the last group of units across from the walking path. I would never stay there again. That unit was so ugly, especially with the pot bellied fire place that took up lots of space in the living room. There were no cabinets in the kitchen as well. Everything was exposed on shelves collecting dust.

Check to see which unit you are assigned to before you leave.
I'm a former Ridgetop owner. That was my first and last time staying in RVII.

It's our unit....RVII 121. If I recall the location, on the "upper level" of units, right off of the "main road". We had to walk downhill to the RVII outdoor pool (which I'm not certain if that even exists anymore).
