Well another ebay sale .
PLATINUM MARRIOTT'S SHADOW RIDGE FIVE STAR TIMESHARE
$10,319.00
I wonder if the Marriott will buy the unit back with the ROFR ?
The price looks pretty good to me, may be just a little too good to go thru.

Indeed. What would be the downside?
Would it be a great trader for other Marriotts? I'm really interested in MB.

Palm desert

The Palm desert Marriott's trade well within the Marriott family, and should be able to pull some good trades. Not the best trader out there, but good.
I would think you could pull a MB summer week if the week deposited was a very high demand week and deposited earlywith II.
Only down side I see to the Marriotts in Palm Desert is that there are 3 Marriott's there , so the demand may go down as the new resort gets built up as supply catches up with the demand.
Next month will be our third trip to the Marriott Desert Springs resorts. We have traded our Marriott Grande vista 2 bdr unit for 1 week, our 1 bdr side of an Ocean Pointe week and for one andonthis trip we are using Marriott points.

I own at Shadow Ridge and my lock-off has been a good trader.
Pulled Aruba, Hawaii and others (though I am using this week for a two bedroom in Orlando, which was an easy trade).

I can check MB if I knew what it was?
Marabella? If so I see available right now using my Studio lock off

Trading for Myrtle Beach

I was hoping to get in May 19 on a trade.
Probably won't happen.

Marriott is selling Shadow Ridge? Is there a thread here somewhere on that?

Yes, they still are and here are the prices they gave us:

Platinum Plus
2 br - $28,900 MRPs 120,000

Platunum
2 br - $26,650 MRPs 110,000

Gold
2 br - $17,900 MRPs 75,000

Silver
2 br - $12,350 MRPs 40,000

Then I got a special by email and it listed it for $30,900 but I am no longer certain if that was for Desert Ridge or for the MDSV???

Special Is for MDS

The special is for Desert Springs I at $30,900 Red/Platinum & $19,900 (or $18,900) for White/Gold, both with a fair amount of points.

It is interesting how Desert Springs I, the oldest resort, commands the highest price, followed by Desert Springs II, and then Shadow Ridge.

Also, Desert Springs I Red/Platinum yields 125,000 points vs Shadow Ridge Platinum Plus at 120,000. White/Gold yields the same 110,000 points as Shadow Ridge Platinum.

Maybe because they are larger in size. We really liked the condo and our friends did too. They had complete privacy, at night. For a family together, I would prefer the set-up of the the Waiohai Beach Club in Kauai.

I also like the fireplace in the older units as the desert is cool at night. It may not give much physical heat but the condo is nice and warm anyway. It just looks nice and makes you feel at home. :)

We do not have to pay the $28 for visiting the Spa but this fee gets waived anyway if you use one of their services.

I am at Shadow Ridge now... still crying over my deal ROFR. It only takes Marriott 1 day to get back on ROFR. We submit it yesterday and received the news today. .. THe developer price went up $1000 on Wednesday (yesterday)

pLATINUM Plus - 29,900
platinum: 27,650

You can trade into Marriott Reward every year. They are 1/3 of the units. They have a total of 972 units - currently in Phase 4 out of Phase 12.
