Today I received a generous offer from SFX for a San Francisco deposit. I was wondering if anyone else got this.

When i deposit my summer HHI week, SFX always offered sweet deal such as $250 cash reward with two (or more) bonus weeks.
 
I got two letters. Both requesting deposits for properties that I don't or ever have owned. :doh:

Yep, just got the latest offer in the mail for a deposit, its their 23 year anniversary. $300 cash card, 2 bonus weeks, etc.

I got one wanting my Maui Hill week. Sorry it's committed through 2016.
 
They say they will reinstate my bonus weeks and actually give me 3 more. I couldn't ever find a good bonus week offer at the time I wanted is the reason I still have 2 expired bonus weeks now. However, I did use a bonus week for an upcoming trip so SFX did make a couple of plays for me.

They called me asking for my week 35 Carlsbad Seapointe but I had to tell them I had already converted it to HGVC points.

I have a week 35 Carlsbad Inn which they would love to have but that unit converts to Benjamin Franklins if I don't use it.

The real key to getting value out of the bonus weeks is to do a request far in advance like a regular exchange. If you just wait for leftovers, it's slim pickens sometimes.

For a data point, I received 44 TPU's for my Donatello unit this year.

There's a lot that I love about SFX - their service and their inventory, but it's hard to pass up that many TPU's in RCI. And I'm not feeling the love. I didn't receive anything from SFX :bawl: although I am sure that I can call and get the same deal.

Btw, how does the bonus cash work these days - do you still only get to use it in dribs and drabs - $20 off of vacation insurance, and $100 off of a size upgrade? And what kind of units can you request for bonus weeks - are there any size restrictions and can you request New York, for example?

Yes the bonus cash is "dribs and drabs" but I was able to use some for my exchange into Grand Luxxe and my bonus week in Del Mar.

You can request whatever you like. Keep in mind SFX adds a premium to certain locations and New York is one of them. You'd be paying the bonus week price and the premium.
