Any HGVC owners out there that would mind sharing their experiences with SFX and tips they have found for how to get the best use out of them.

It looks like they only accept "prime time" weeks for deposit.

They seem to have a "special" right now: if you deposit your week before the end of January they will give you additional weeks at a reduced price (way less than maintenance fees.) This seems like it is a good deal.

Thanks

Deposited a prime 2br week with SFX and put in a request for summer week Orlando 2009 for more than 4 months now. The only thing they came up with was a 1 br so far. Needless to say, I am not impress.

That must be why they keep bugging me to deposit my Orlando week. :) But I always request Easter week so mine wouldn't even have helped you out.

They can only provide what they have and it would seem that they don't have any Orlando summer weeks - yet. Hopefully something will turn up for you soon.

I don't deposit my HGVC with SFX any more. I have in the past.

I do however deposit a 1 BR Sedona week that I obtain with my Wyndham account. It ties up less $$ in MFs and it gets the bonus weeks. This week costs me about $420 in MFs. The same 1 BR in HGVC would cost me $770.

SFX is frustrating to me. I am an opportunity trader. I like to see what is available and then pounce if it works for me. That is the complete opposite model for SFX. You have to put in a request. You have to want something specific. You must commit to it or pay for it (don't want the match, but still pay for the transaction) when they find something that matches.

So I have gotten so specific and narrow in my search requests that it seems the never find what I am asking for.

I generally ask for Ontario Canada summer weeks, which rarely get deposited. I have used the Bonus weeks in the past, but not lately. I have not used my 2007 or 2008 bonus weeks.

I currently have 3 regular deposits. The only good thing about any additional deposits it that it extends the currently deposit expiration by another year. So I have 3 but they don't expire until 2011. I also have 2 Bonus weeks for 2009.

So it doesn't match my style or patterns. But I haven't necessarily given up yet. It is much better for CA, San Fran especially, and some HI, but I haven't needed those locations for a while now. But I can hope it will improve for me.

They been keep emailing me about deposite 2009 Carriage Hill week with them to get extra bonus weeks. But if I cannot even get a summer Orlando week after all these wait, what is the use of getting extra bonus weeks.
