Senor Sweets is open again in Cabo according to their website. It appears they have a special running in March where you can make free phone calls to the U.S. when you buy something there. See details on the website.

The virtual tour pictures look like the original store. I'm looking forward to going there again in August.:)

Look at post #4 of this thread in the Mexico information sticky at the top of the Mexico home page. There are some recent restaurant recommendations.

We tried La Golandrina for dinner and Gardenias for lunch for the first time on our August trip and can highly recommend both places. We also enjoyed the Baja Cantina beach location out in front of Cabo Villas.

I look right down onto Cascadas from our terrace at PB Rose. How is the restaurant there? I see it every year but haven't tried it yet.

You might even be looking at our unit. It faces PB and we have a hot tub on the balcony. It is 2 story with another balcony on top.
We like the resturant and Club Cascadas , it is fun to eat out on the beach. We had lunchs at Tabascos which is right near. Also that is where the TAMALIA MAN sells from the cooler. If you have not tried them, you really should. He has several different things and all are very good.

Coupons/Vouchers from Los Cabos Guide

First go to tripadvisor.com and look for trappers list. Then you can go to Los Cabos Guide and get vouchers at 65% of face value for some of the restaurants.
Just got back and the weather was fantastic.

No need to go to tripadvisor. Trappers list is right here in post #4. Go down a bit to the restaurant list that has a darker black heading and says it's a list of recommendations by trapper3. There are also several other restaurant lists in that post.

Free phone calls

I did download that coupon from The Web Site that you provided. I have heard that some people just ask for the phone when at Senor Sweets for the free calls. Good Deal !!!!!!
Ive go every year for the Golf and I love Cabo. Some of my favorite restaurants are. 1. Mariscos Las Tres Islas: its a local place intown that has incredible prices and excellent Seafood. I had the best Octopus Ever!!
2. Gordo Le Le: No trip is complete without some of his Shrimp Tacos or Carne Asada. WoW.. You will go back time and again. Plus he sings Elvis, Sinatra, and beatles songs, This chubby little guy is a mexican treasure. dont miss a stop there. also super prices !!!! 3. Villa Serena: I really love the sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez, Very romantic in this pretty mexican style restaurant. Its located across from the Home Depot on the Corridor on the ocean side of the road. When you pull in its about 100 yards down and will not look like much. But once inside the view and charm of this little place is wonderful. 4. Capo San Giovani or Salvatores: Two really good Italian places both a close walk to one another in the heart of town. Check out the menus out front on any given day to decide where you will eat. Capo has an edge on the taste in my book. But Salvatores has a Lasagne special (Wed only). One serving will feed two hungry people and you might still bring some home! Both places are very good.

Great pictures, Muriel! Tobasco's must be getting more and more business. They didn't have this many tables & umbrellas on the beach last August.

FYI for anyone who hasn't been on Medano Beach here, the second picture is of Cascadas de Baja, an II resort. To the left (and only a small part of the pink building shows) is Pueblo Bonito Rose.

Gordo's

It's not the Marriott but he has the best tacos in Cabo. And besides that he sings to you. I was at a TripAdvisor party there on 2/18 and we had a great time.

Where exactly is his taco stand? When I watched some of the YouTube videos it appeared he was across from some of those little individual stalls at the marketplace. I saw a bus go by in the distance that resembled the bus that goes between the Pueblo Bonitos.

Is he on the street that MiCasa is on?

We were just there last week too and we had a great time.

1 and 1/2 blocks up from Giggling Marlin, past The Corner Cafe.
