If its a "Right to use" club there is nothing of value to sell and its my understanding that the transfer fees are far to expensive to make it worth while. If it is as i stated, a right to use club, and you are not going to use it, dont pay them and they will end your membership. These callers will be looking for you to pay them to do nothing for you that you cant do your self by not paying the fees.

Unfortunately, Vidanta does their best to make their resales worthless by charging a very high transfer fee (more than the resale value in many cases) plus stripping away benefits for the new owner. Only about half of what you purchased transfers upon resale. All of it transfers to immediate family members. If you aren't using it, you may want to look into surrendering once you have to renew but 100% of the calls you receive are scams.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband, and I completely understand how that would make traveling difficult. This group is a great resource for finding valuable information and support.

Be cautious about people calling you regarding your timeshare in Mexico—they are just trying to get money from you. These cold callers might promise to sell, list, or cancel your timeshare, but their real intention is to take your money without providing any real help.

Unfortunately, this timeshare as most, doesn’t hold any value in the resale market. Your best options might be to either stop paying for it or try to give it away.

Selling it is likely not feasible, but by avoiding those cold calls, you can protect yourself from being scammed.
