Im looking to sell our blugreen points.

Facebook, goggle selling Bluegreen vacation club, someone named Scott Wilson helps people sell. It has to be paid off though

sadly you will find that there is no real resale value for bluegreen points and your only options in most cases are to try to give them away for free on the resale market (paying the 2025 fees will help), or surrender them back to bluegreen.

sadly bluegreen is likely to get the points either way because a 0$ resale is very likely to just get rofrd and taken by bluegreen anyway...not that it matters to you as a seller though.

Actually Bluegreen Points do have value on the resale market.
Having a good PUP such as Big Cedar, La Cabana, Hammocks at Marathon and really any resort where the PUP is in high season.
Almost always $0/$1 contracts are taken by BG - offering a realistic price is your best bet at getting a contract to buy. BG sells points from $2.50/$4.00 per point.

I will attach a photo of my experience - whether BG or buyer got the contract, I got paid. And I paid $500 transfer fee on all these contracts.

well thats something for sure! what is so unique about those ownerships vs the majority of hte others that have no resale value?

or are all these just leveraging the fact that BG will likely snap up anything offered under $1 point? This is pretty shocking to me given how many emails/notifcations we get from owners stating BG refused their deedback and told them they should go to pinnacle or similar.

I think this strategy stems the tide/flood of people trying to give them back. If people have to put effort into it, they won't bother. If it is easy, BG may not be able to stop the deluge and will have more than they know what to do with.

Until 18 months 2years ago people routinely were able to buy contracts for $1 plus closing. BG never exercised ROFR.
If you purchased from the Pinnacle website it was not even submitted for ROFR process.

The theory at this point seems to be that since BG knew they were being acquired by Hilton, part of their "deal" was to have inventory to sell at retail pricing. Also, people feel that BG wants to gain control of more inventory to feed into the Hilton Max Program.

When BG gets points via ROFR it keeps that ownership out of the BGVC inventory fur members to reserve until it is resold.
Again, that gives BG control of what funnels into use for Hilton owner.

If you look at my examples above, BG took my ownerships for $0.25,0.32 and even one contract for $1.01 per point.

Several months later they passed (and buyer got) on $0.51 and $0.81

On several Facebook groups it is apparent that buyers are beginning to realize if they want to get contracts, they have to pay above $0.30-0.50 per point.

No one knows how long this trend will continue.

Going back several years, BG only took back for free deeded weeks at BG managed resorts. These were then converted to vacation club inventory and then resold.

Now, they allow give back of vacation club inventory for the costs of 18 months of maint fees.
A 10K contract has fees of $1537 x 1.5 = $2300
Seems pretty clever to me.

In this last case, finding a buyer for $1, you will only be out $500 transfer fee.

Just saw it posted on the group I referenced above.
Great news for buyer and seller - it is possible to get a contract with a more realistic offer.
Big Cedar is very desireable and getting $0.25 pp for 30,000 points is a win for both.

BG highest level Platinum was 60,000 points until this year.
They have raised Platinum to 75K and are allegedly adding a Diamond level at 100K.

So a 30K contract is actually a lot with a maint fee of $3500 - I used to own Wyndham 2BR unit that was valued at 203K points, an equivalent 2BR at Big Cedar would be 14-18K BG points.

what raises the value of BG points is where the priority use period PUP (bluegreen is not a deed) is located and what week/unit.
Even though BG is a point based program , you are able to reserve your PUP at 13 months out to use without competing with other owners. It is yours to reserve.
Many BG owners are-not aware of this - hence posting on the Facebook Groups with knowledgeable owners is key for a good sale.
Most of my contracts were at La Cabana Aruba weeks 51,52,1-4 and spring break So carried great resale value.
