Getting ready to put our two Oceanwatch weeks up for sale. Haven’t traveled in years and managed to pick up a townhouse in North Myrtle Beach during covid. They are gold season Oceanside units not enrolled and not eligible to be enrolled. Have rented them for the last 6 years but with both health and age catching up fast it’s time to move on.

Just reserved the 2026 weeks today and thought I’d better get an answer to this before listing them.

My questions are will the reservations transfer with sale and if not are they just cancelled by Marriott? Thanks for the help

When I purchased a resale week one stipulation was that the owners make a reservation for the following summer. This reservation did transfer, so I know it can be done. I think you need to make sure MVC knows the reservations transfer as a condition of the sale during the transfer process.

Similarly, we have bought quite a few Resale weeks and in all cases we asked the Seller to please reserve the weeks we wanted.
In all cases they transferred across successfully.
I agree though that this should be a condition of Sale which is kade clear to MVC as part of the transfer process.

For our Grand Residence purchases there is a “date of first use by buyer” section of the transfer paperwork. If that’s there in your case you could list 2027 and the sale can still go through in 2025.

When we sold our weeks we had reservations for the next. The buyer wanted to keep them. It was written into the purchase contract. I remember filling out a form Marriott sent us to confirm the weeks would transfer to new owner.
