Just wondering if anyone has purchased an RCI Extra Vacation to a Secrets Resort (or sister AMResorts properties)

We stayed at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos on our honeymoon 3 years ago and LOVED it. Would like to visit another Secrets in 2019, but its expensive! Way more than we normally spend on a vacation.

I noticed that you can buy an extra vacation through RCI- I know its mandatory AI which is the expensive part of the trip, but it seems to me that buying the RCI EV and paying the mandatory AI fee the cost for a week is still several hundred dollars cheaper than booking directly. Have others found this to be true?

Do you typically get the lowest type of room through RCI?

Any other helpful info anyone can provide?

You do get the lowest type of room through RCI. Usually booking through a timeshare exchange company is not the least expensive way. Check with Apple Vacations or something like that to see if you can get a package deal including airfare. Its usually less than either booking direct or through RCI/II.
