Wife and I sat thru the presentation in Myrtle Beach and ended up buying a VIP package. We would like to go somewhere warm but the HGVC locations in the Caribbean don't look that great. Any recommendations for nice beach front resorts in the Caribbean or FL?

A VIP package requires you to sit through another sales presentation. This limits you as to which locations you can pick. In other words, not all locations will be on the list. Also the inventory is different from normal club inventory. I would suggest that you can the number which I assume that they provided to see which locations are on the list.

Usually HGVC VIP package is limited to a subset of HGVC resorts.
HGVC only has one Caribbean resort. It's in Barbados called the Crane, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club. The other Caribbean resort are associated with DRI.

For HGVC properties in the Southeast, you might have access to one or more of the following resorts (see below) otherwise you'll want to look at HGVC properties in Hawaii and Mexico.

SOUTH BEACH, FLORIDA
• McAlpin Ocean Plaza, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club

MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA
• Anderson Ocean Club, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club
• Ocean 22, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club
• Ocean Enclave, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club

HILTON HEAD, SOUTH CAROLINA
• Ocean Oak Resort, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club

HGVC's VIP Package normally doesn't include the External Exchange Resorts listed below.

Since all new direct sales will be MAX, i wonder if the VIP eligible resort list now includes some of the former DRI resorts... Had not thought about that before, but i am guessing those are now included assuming they have direct sales center.

Did they give you a booklet when you purchased the VIP package? We bought one in June 2022, and we were give a brochure that said at which resorts we could use it. It was pretty limited, but there might be more options now. We definitely couldn’t use the VIP package at all of the HGVC resorts - just certain ones.

My last VIP contact was 2 pages, and the second page listed available resorts.

If I remember correctly, only the first visit on the VIP package requires a timeshare sales pitch. So you could go to one of the "required" locations from a short list for three days, and then go somewhere else on a separate trip. However, not every HGVC is available for that second trip.

@tkoden, read the fine print from the paper that you signed, and the inside cover of the glossy book that they gave you. There's a meeting description and resort list somewhere.
