SDO: question about lock-off situation

I'm considering buying a 2 bdrm-floating week resale at Sheraton Desert Oasis, but I don't understand from research if all SDO 2 bdrms are ALWAYS lock-offs. I anticipate that some years I would only want to use the small 1-bdrm and trade the large 1-bdrm. Does this sound like something I could do with ALL SDO resale 2 bdrms, or do I need to make sure it says "lock-off" in the description? Thanks!
