Scam warning: VSI & HP Consultants

ARDA sent a nice little note this morning warning "owners" about two companies claiming they are working with ARDA to help owners...and calling them inviting them to an "owners update"...which is basically just a sales pitch/scam.

the two companies were VSI Vacation Services International and HP Consultants.

Just a warning to steer clear of these company names, or anyone calling you claiming they are working with "ARDA"...or any other company (rci, ii, etc) that has nothing to do with actually selling timeshares to consumers.
 
There may be more than one organization representing itself as Vacation Services International. We have received the following email, presented here without further comment:
To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing you in regards to a false report put out by ARDA, regarding my company Vacation Services International. There are call centers in Tampa that are using my company name as well as others and calling to get clients out of their timeshare. They are taking credit cards and then just keep moving locations. My lawyers have been notified however they have not been able to track them as of yet. The owner of the organization has been caught in FL before doing the same types of scams and two of the numbers used in the scam are 888-886-3606 and 813-425-0081 . My lawyers are also contacting ARDA, to clear our name, in regards to the blatant lies they have posted in regards to VSI. VSI has no traveling salespersons, no call centers, no outbound calls done or telemarketers that do tour calls for us because we do not do tours. In addition no one made any attempt to contact VSI in regards to the claim and we are not hiding form anyone. Our phone number is 855-VSI-TRVL and we have a B rating with the BBB with zero complaints and the only reason for the B rating is the length of time we have been in business, which is just over a year. We ask that tuggbbs.com remove any slanderous information that may taint the reputation of VSI, immediately. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

looks like these folks are still in business more than a year later...however now they are pitching the "rci rentals are unfair/fraud/etc"...
