Can someone give me an idea of pricing for a Platinum week at SBP for a 2BR LO please? We have a chance to purchase one for my parents but I am having a hard time finding what is a reasonable price range. I saw one that did not sell for $5500 on eBay but that is my only source of reference. This unit is in the older, Embassy contract so it has a long platinum timeframe.

Also, if the seller reserves the 2BR lockoff for us during the summer (as part of the transaction), can we later deposit it into II without problems? They are not willing to just "bank" the unit for us into II but are willing to make a summer reservation if available.

Thanks! Katherine

Kath - Since Starwood chooses the week you deposit, it doesn't matter if the owner reserves a week for you or not, because Starwood isn't obligated to deposit that week.

Good luck!

The lockouts are rare

I have not seen many lockouts for sale there at all.

Is there some rule of thumb that you can use to estimate a value based on the value of the 2 bedroom platinum non-lockoff? If so I have seen the regular 2 bedroom platinums go for anwhere from ~$1500 to ~$2500 on EBay over the past 6 months. I bought one in November for ~2k.

Thank you so much. These prices are well below what we are being offered. Glad they hesitated on the contract. I'll tell them to pass and that way I can continue to have the challenge of finding one for them on eBay. :D

TUGGERS are the best.
