Saving points with reservations

Hey all! if I make a reservation today for next year and then months from now save points from this year for next year will my reservation used my points for next year or my saved points that have to be used next year?

if you save points after the reservation, then you can shuffle the reservation to have it use the saved points instead of the 2025 points. To shuffle, just change the reservation (at least 61 days out from the stay) by adding a day, confirm, and then go back to the reservation and remove the day that you added, and confirm. It will use the saved 2024 points first with the rebooking process, otherwise, it will stay with the points that booked it with and you will have saved 2024 points to use.

If you save your points first before you make a reservation for next year, it will use those save points first before 2025 pts.
