Are there any timeshares in San Francisco that you recommend - would need to trade thru II. We will be traveling with our teenage son and would like a 2 bedroom with a location near the 'sights'. Thanks for your help.
 
Two bedrooms are pretty rare, as far as I know. Shell Vacation Suites on Fisherman's Wharf does have 2 bedrooms (I'm blanking on the correct name here.) I'm not sure if any of the downtown timeshares have 2 bedrooms.

I believe Worldmark and Wyndham both have 2 bdm. units. Most SF timeshares are renovated hotels, so most are 1 bdm. Check the TUG reviews for more info.

If you have a TS to exchange that meets SFX requirements, they are located in San Francisco and may be your best bet. Their gold membership is free. Give them a look. SFX-resorts.com

Worldmark SF only has 1BRs and studios...... However, there are 1BRs with 2 baths, as is often the case with converted hotels (which in this case it is). Those would have to be booked by an owner - SFX may be able to do it.
 
Highly Recommended

I know this has nothing to do with timeshare recommendations, but since you're traveling with your teenage son (and undoubtedly looking for things to do that would interest him), I do have a recommendation that's a can't miss: take the Segway tour of San Francisco. It's a blast!

The tour lasts about two hours, not including a thirty minute safety and training session before you head out on the streets of San Francisco. The guides are excellent. They give you a radio device so that you can listen to your guide as you tour the city.

And riding a Segway (which I'd never done before) is so much fun!

WalnutBaron: The Segway Tour is a fabulous suggestion! My husband and son did their first Segway Tour in Epcot this past year and loved it. They will love it in SF. How was the Segway with all the hills in SF - yikes! :)
