The weather was perfect when we went at this time years ago.

Outdoor pool may not be open yet....seems like Memorial Day weekend is more the time for that. BUT, what a great time to visit midcoast Maine! They have a great indoor pool, so you can still swim. The golf course will be open if that's your thing. Many area restaurants will be open at least part of the week. No crowds to speak of. Weather can still be cool/rainy, so keep that in mind. I dearly love Samoset any time of year...winter is one of my favorite times to go.

Do it. Less crowds and traffic.
Years ago we went mid April. We even drove up to Acadia for National Park for a day from there.
