I got a number of calls this year about purchasing my Vidanta ownership at Celebrate Park in Nuevo Vallarta. I had started to move forward with one company, but felt it was a scam due to fees and an extremely large offer, but requesting fees be paid up front. I have another offer on the table from Global Vacation Trading Group that seems in a more realistic range. I wanted to know if anyone has dealt with this company and what their results and opinions were. I would like to sell my Vidanta Ownership, but not looking to lose any more money on a scam. Thank you. Len

Unfortunately since Vidanta strips many of the perks that come when buying direct, they have killed the resale value. Pretty much every sale offer is going to be a scam.
What do you own and what are they offering?

It's great that you're able to identify a scam. As for Vidanta ownerships, you don't really own anything but a membership. If you want to end your membership and the accompanying fees, one option is to just stop paying your fees and Vidanta will terminate your membership although they might send out collection calls and letters as well as possibly affect your credit score.

Here is some advice from someone who went through something similar.

Imagine selling your house through a real estate agent. Would you pay any fees before closing? You would expect any commissions and other charges to be deducted at closing, and then receive a net check. Even if these people say there are no upfront fees - there will be. That's the whole goal. Then they disappear.

Any and all cold calls you get about buying your Vidanta membership are scams. Full stop.

just got a call to "buy" my grand luxe membership at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta from brokers consolidated out of Nevada. Just hung up on him.

Len, did you sell your timeshare?
