I have been reading that you have to pay for the water park but didn't realize you could be totally blacked out and NOT have it as an option. Good to know. Maybe it was posted elsewhere and I missed that piece. Guessing that's the same with paid access at LakeShore Reserve too?
This sounded like such a great place to stay and maybe even resale a week but this recent review makes me think otherwise!

Not as Presented
These are very nice 2 bedroom units, spacious and clean. Our unit overlooked the vacation club pool, it was a great location. Arriving late at night is a bit of a debacle as this resort is not open and they send you to another property to check in (not far), and unfortunatly that property does not give you much information or assistance when you check in. If you are going with children it is also good to know that you not only do not get use of the waterpark at the World Center, but they tell you when you book you can use it for a fee if there is availability altough they do not tell you that many dates and weekends are blocked out regardless on actually availability because they are blocked in advance based on anticipated availabilty. So you then have to walk by with your children who can not go to get to the other World Center pool. The grills are also as issue as there are only two for this whole side of the resort. Also good to know that there are no activities for children at the vacation club and the activites at the World Center are not up to what are at most vacation clubs what so ever, they look ok on the schedule and are cheesy and short when you are there. Great spot if you are not bringing kids.

I noticed that when I was looking at the ipoolside site for the Orlando World Center Marriott Hotel. Most weekends are simply blocked out (actually Thur, Fri, Sat and Sunday). So you can't even purchase a day pass for those days. The only days available are Mon-Wed. I also understand that you can only reserve up to two weeks in advance though. So, that is why all those future dates are showing as blocked. As long as you have an existing reservation number, you can reserve in advance (up to two weeks).

Ok and this is blocking out the pool and the water park? right? or am i reading it wrong?

I've never experienced the World Center pool and other facilities being blocked from the timeshare usage. Has anyone ever encountered this for anything besides the water park? The water park has limited capacity, so I understand why it might be blocked.

The only time facilities were blocked was when they first opened the slide tower many years ago. There was an additional charge of $10 per villa for wristbands to use the slide tower. That was dropped at some point, perhaps after about a year? I am not aware that guest at any of the Palms resorts have been blocked from the pools or slide tower since.

Based on our visit at Sabal in April I agree with dioxide.
You don’t need reservations for anything except the water park- access the world center pool and slide tower is open.
There we’re activities when we were there although they were shared among the 3 TS sections and some times at the other locations.

i have stayed at marriott world center quite a lot over last couple of years,
i have noticed the hotel pools can be closed to all quests for private functions with security guards on gates.

Don't those tend to happen in the evenings?

it was during the day we tend to go there mid morning for coffee and could see it was blocked off for corporate events
