I just received a letter from an exchange organization called RTX. Has anyone heard of them or traded with them? They seem to be affiliated with Festiva.

I got the same because Festiva took over one of mine at Coconut Palms II. I logged in and poked around. Looks pretty basic.

RTX is exchange company for Festiva Resorts which now manages the timeshare I own in Hot Springs Village, AR (formerly Escapes!). I've found several very nice and inexpensive "extra vacations" in RTX so have been pleasantly surprised. I still am an RCI member but thinking of depositing next years weeks with RTX and dropping RCI since RTX has a free basic membership plus less expensive trades and premium upgrades.

Well, I never received the activation e-mail. So I tried to sign up again and the website indicated that there was already an account. So I tried to send a password reminder and that didn't work either. So I filled out a short form with the issue and within 15 minutes the phone rang from RTX. The phone rep was able to activate my account for me. So I am able to now log in and see what their inventory is like. Their website is a little sluggish. It also looks like everything that is available in exchange is also available as a getaway.

We are planning a trip to Alabama Shores for the fall of 2015. I am seeing inventory for 2014 that is in the same time frame as when we want to travel in 2015. So we may give them a shot. Still not sure how their exchanges work. Is everything like for like? Though with the getaway prices what they are, exchanging may not matter. It looks like they accept request first exchange requests, so that is a plus.
