I decided to register with RTX back in the Fall after learning of them through TUG. Well, since then I have never been able to log onto the web site. I sent emails to them and the reps kept calling me while I was at work and couldn't deal with the issue since they wanted me to go onto the site while on the phone with them. (like I don't know how to log onto a web site!). I tried to reset my password- no good. I tried to call them in the evening- on perpetual hold to the point that I had to hang up. What is with this company? How could they just not have a link that would allow me to reset my password and/or correct the issue from their end? I have a member ID #, but I even tried re-registering and the site recognized that my email was already registered so I couldn't do that. What the??!!:wall:

What is RTX?

they were a very brief advertiser on TUG...although prior to accepting their advertising they did confirm they charged no upfront fees...so hopefully you werent out any money.

very sorry to read about your experience. doubt we will see them again in the future.

No- not out any money. Singed up for free membership and wanted to try to see what kind of availability they had, etc. I think they are mostly West coast. I remember telling a rep that I owned at Smugglers Notch and he said he never heard of it!

Looks as well like they are associated with Festiva - deal breaker for me.

I signed up with them and had some issues early on logging in. I used the Contact Us form and they called me back within the hour. They were able to get me up and running.

I have checked some of their getaway availability for Orange Beach in Alabama Shores. A lot of their availability was Festiva properties. I believe that anything that is available for exchange is also available for getaway purchase.

I own a Festiva unit. Well it was taken over by Festiva but recently is now under something else I think. They sent me something a while back giving me a free membership to RTX but I never did anything with it. I still get emails and a little magazine in the mail.

I also experienced the frustration of logging onto RTX. The solution was to use Chrome internet browser. Their system does not work properly with Internet Explorer. I have no problems with the system working correctly now.

I use Firefox...I might add they did call me when I filled out the contact form (which was several times!), but I am at work when they call. I was able to go online at work once with their rep and he got me on, but when I went home to use the site, couldn't log in again. When I call in the evening, I am on perpetual hold. Ridiculous.....

Getaways, if you find one you want, may be cost effective

We have a rental (getaway?) coming up in May that we secured through RTX. The good news is that our cost was less than it would have been for the same unit through 2 other sites I checked. We shall see how it goes.

RTX

I am a Festiva owner and RTX member. I have been very happy with RTX, especially for last minute and extra vacations.

tried to sign u a long time ago and the website said -- using all my possible emails - that I was already a member but could not sign in. Never answered o
phone calls.

I just tried again and now to sign in, I must check this box

* By checking this box I give express consent to receive information (by above address, phone or email) from RTX, its subsidiaries and/or affiliates.

I never allow anyone's "affiliates" to be signed up to my email -- don;t like that at all - guess I can;t get regsitered

Exactly! It won't let me reset my password. I try to re-register and it says I am already registered. It's insane!:wall:

Why not call them after work or on Saturday? Their posted hours of operation are:
Mon – Thurs: 8am – 8pm
Fri: 8am – 7pm
Sat: 8:30am – 5pm
Eastern Standard Time
Closed Sundays

RTX consolidated their computer system a year or slightly more ago, and when they did, the original password I had set up was reset to a different one. I called them, they gave me a temporary password to get in and had me reset my password online, and all has been fine since.

I just now logged in using both Firefox and Chrome, they both works fine, but IE still doesn't work.

It does seem to take them a long time to answer the phone. I talked to a woman once and she apologized and said she'd been outside feeding some feral kittens :annoyed:

I have an exchange set up through them to Destin, FL, for later this year. The exchange was setup pretty easily.

Yes- the one time I worked with them on the phone they did give me the temporary password, but then it didn't work afterwards. Something very wrong. As I mentioned several times before- they do not get on the phone eves or wknds. I am on hold for so long, I just give up. I don't have that kind of time. :crash:

They just sent me an email with a new password. I tried to sign in by copy and pasting the password and I got the same error message. "User name or password is incorrect." User name is my email, as RTX did confirm. This has been going on for months! I just don't get it! I am now on hold on the phone with them. I will time it. More than 15 minutes and I am hanging up.Why would I even want to work with this exchange company if they don't get the basics right?:crash:

Finally!

Well, a rep. got on the phone before my 15 minute time limit and was able to get me online. I logged on later this evening again and the password worked! The key I think was that I left the password as the default they assigned me and did not change it to a personal one. I think one of the issues might have been how they entered me when I originally registered because I am not a Festiva owner, although I made that very clear from the beginning. Anyway, I hope I don't have any more issues!

I almost actually exchanged with them tonight for a wanted resort and week, but the check-in day is off by one day and that happens to be critical for an event we are planning to attend! DARN IT!!! So close!:(
